Infection in urinary system of a person also called as UTI can be cured easily at initial stages and home remedies for urinary tract infection are easiest and effective ways of treating it. Home remedies for urinary tract infections are equally beneficial for males and females. Females are more common sufferers of this problem as compared to males. UTI normally affects bladder and urethra and on aggravation spreads up to kidneys however infection is not life threatening until it spreads up to kidneys yet its prompt treatment is very necessary to protect organs of urinary system from damage. Urge to urinate frequently with or without passing of urine, inability to control the urge to urinate, passing out small quantities of urine, cloudy colored urine, foul smelling urine and burning sensation during urination are common symptoms of UTI. Women suffer with pelvic pain during urinary tract infection while males suffer with pain in rectal area. If symptoms of urinary tract infection accompany fever, chills, nausea, vomiting and pain in upper right flank of abdomen then it is a symptom of aggravation of infection up to kidneys and it is a dangerous situation. Home remedies for urinary tract infection are effective in calming early or symptoms of advanced stages and provide natural treatment to the problem.

Intimate physical contact is the biggest cause of urinary tract infection. Males too can get infected through intimate contact as bacteria residing in woman's organ can enter into the bladder through urinary opening of males during making love. Another cause of UTI in men and women is E. coli bacteria which resides in the intestines and finds its way to urinary bladder through urinary opening. Women are prone to UTI during pregnancy, some women may carry the infection from young age, people suffering with diabetes and women approaching menopause are at higher risk of getting UTI. Changing partners frequently, birth controlling devices, allergy to latex and obesity are other causes of UTI or are factors which put a person at higher risk. Enlarged prostrate gland and catheter tubes inserted in urethra are other causes of urinary tract infections. Suppressing urge to urinate for longer periods regularly is another cause of UTI which can affect males and females equally. Home remedies for urinary tract infection can cure the problem caused by any of these reasons very effectively.
