Nausea is not a disease but often a symptom of an underlying medical condition, home remedies for nausea are very effective in preventing its frequent occurrences and providing relief in a short time. Take a teaspoon of cumin seeds and fry them dry on a pan, take few dried leaves of mint and crush them, add these with fried cumin seeds and mix these with a pinch of salt in a glass of buttermilk. Squeeze a teaspoon of lemon juice and add a teaspoon of honey to it, with the help of finger lick this mixture slowly. This is one of the oldest home remedies for nausea. Cranberry juice two times in a day is another very effective remedy for curing symptoms of nausea and vomiting.

Take a cup of water and add 10 drops of lime juice and a teaspoon of sugar, stir the mixture well to dilute the sugar completely. Add one-forth teaspoon of baking soda to this mixture and consume. This is one of those home remedies for nausea which show its effects immediately and stops vomiting very quickly.

Crush a teaspoon of fennel seeds and steep the powder in a cup of boiling water for at least 20 minutes. Strain the mixture and add a teaspoon of honey for taste. Consume this for immediate relief.
Clove powder also alleviate symptoms of nausea and provide immediate relief. Take a teaspoon of clove powder and steep with a cup of boiling water, strain this mixture and drink it to relieve nausea. One can consume as many cups during the day as needed to keep debilitating symptoms of nausea away. It works as one of the most effective home remedies for nausea.

Another very unique remedy for treating nausea is provided by lemon. Cut a piece of peel of lemon, only yellow part and do not take any juice of it. Add this piece of peel in a cup of water and boil it for 20 minutes. Drink this mixture after straining and adding a teaspoon of honey to it for taste. This is one of the simplest and effective home remedies for nausea. Crush few onions to grate a teaspoon of juice, add a teaspoon of honey to this juice and consume this few times in a day for chronic symptoms of nausea.

Avoid heavy meals, spicy, fried and refined foods and alcohol completely. Caffeine intake and tobacco consumption in any form also works as trigger for nausea. Increase intake of fruits like papaya, guava, banana and citrus fruits for keeping nauseating feeling at bay. Walking and jogging also helps in keeping system clean and healthy and allows the body to counter nausea very well.
